Meet Trae tha Reality, the 2021 Billboard Music Awards’ Change Maker Honoree – E! On-line


Trae tha Reality‘s laborious work as each an artist and an activist is getting seen.  

The 40-year-old Houston-based rapper—who dropped his newest full-length album, Exhale, in 2019—is the recipient of the Change Maker Award on the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, airing dwell on Sunday, Could 23. In an unique interview with E! Information, the performer explains that Killer Mike was the first to achieve out and inform him of the accolade. 

“That is loopy—that is Billboard,” Trae says about how he is feeling. “This is among the greatest reveals on the planet. And to assume, they’re recognizing me, somebody that has been on the streets.”

When requested if there’s a person trigger he is proudest to assist, the musician has bother selecting.  

“I do issues each single day, and I do not assume anyone factor I do is extra essential than the opposite,” Trae shares. “I’ve fought for justice, I’ve saved folks’s lives throughout hurricanes, I’ve taken care of individuals. I do all the pieces—every of them have a spot in my coronary heart. It is all part of my legacy.
